10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (Dec 21)

WWE must give some explanation why 'The Family' haven't been backing Roman Reigns...

As a reaction to the sagging ratings which have been affecting the show as of late, WWE decided to wheel out some big guns for the last episode of Monday Night Raw. Hot on the heels of the TLC pay-per-view, Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title. That wasn't all, Vince McMahon also appeared, furious at Reigns for laying out Triple H at TLC the previous evening. The Christmas period is traditionally slow for WWE, as they realise people have other things going on. Therefore, it can be seen as foolish to do too much on the festive editions of Raw and Smackdown, because a portion of the fan base typically tunes out over Christmas. The forthcoming edition of Monday Night Raw is the night on which the annual 'Slammy Awards' will take place, but that's not all the program should feature...

10. Explain Absence Of Dean Ambrose And The Usos

Something WWE surely must lend some broadcast minutes to is the idea of The Family. The League Of Nations consistently look out for one another, which is something which should be the hallmark of any pro wrestling group. By contrast, Dean Ambrose and The Usos haven't always been there for Roman Reigns. That conflicts with the name of the faction, because family - in theory - are there to rely on. For example, where were Ambrose and The Usos during Roman's big WWE Title match against Sheamus last week on Raw? Rusev and Alberto Del Rio interjected themselves into proceedings, but there was no babyface help for Reigns. It's true that WWE want to portray Reigns as someone who is willing to take on all comers, and can handle himself, but that doesn't logically explain the absence of The Family. After all, why would Ambrose and The Usos simply sit idly by and let the League Of Nations outnumber their friend and family member? It seems obvious that they'd be watching, because this was a huge opportunity for Roman Reigns. A few lines on commentary to explain why they haven't been around, or maybe the explanation that Vince McMahon has banned them from ringside, would suffice.
