Just what do WWE have in store for John Cena's return?

As far as WWE are concerned, having John Cena return on the coming edition of Monday Night Raw is a tremendous boost. The big question remains though, just what slot do the company have for their franchise player come Monday Night? Only one really makes sense at the moment.

It does seem ominous that there's just one solitary spot left for the upcoming Money In The Bank Ladder Match. There's a fair chance Cena will win a return match on Raw and fill that position, but going down that path would completely ignore someone fans would rather see in the high-flying bout.

It's true that AJ Styles lost to Kevin Owens on last week's program, meaning he didn't qualify for Money In The Bank. Come Raw, there's a simple way to sort that out and then book an entirely different segment for Cena that would feel way more satisfying.

Meanwhile, WWE seem set on portraying Seth Rollins as a heel upon his comeback. That's going to be a difficult sell, because fans aren't exactly ready to embrace Roman Reigns. Just what might the promotion have in store on Raw?

Let's look at 10 booking steps for the broadcast...

10. Enzo Amore & Big Cass Beat The Dudley Boyz

Using simple set-up for the match on SmackDown, WWE have lined up a tag-team match that should excite. Enzo Amore's recent return to action has - temporarily at least - quelled talk of a Big Cass singles push. There's plenty of time for that in the future, WWE shouldn't be in any rush.

Enzo and Cass are a good fit for one another, and they're pretty new on the main roster. Amore's concussion at Payback did derail their push towards the WWE Tag-Team Titles a little, but again, there's loads of time to crown them as champs. For now, they're not the ideal opponents for The New Day at Money In The Bank.

That doesn't mean that losing is the best scenario on Raw, Enzo and Cass must win. The Dudley Boyz don't really need to pick up the victory, they're best-placed as job guys to teams the company are branding 'New Era'.

A high-energy win for the babyfaces is the best outcome here, it keeps Enzo and Big Cass ticking along nicely.
