10 CM Punk Ironies He Doesn't Want You To Realise

"Keep out of my private life" ... "Hey me and @AJLee are watching TV together!"

CM Punk is a complicated and angry man. His over the top reaction to leaked wedding photos of himself with AJ Lee sums it up. Punk tweeted about punching fans in their "disrespectful f***ing face. Pigs." Was this really a proportionate reaction? Some of his fans (the same people whose interest allowed him to buy a two million dollar penthouse) were celebrating photos of their two favourite wrestlers getting married - did that really warrant the threat of violence and profanity? Clearly, Punk felt like this was an issue of privacy being invaded. However, just 24 hours before, he was tweeting about watching TV with his wife. There's a double standard here, an irony that Punk doesn't want you to pick up on. On the one hand, he wants to show off his private life with AJ (to no less than 2.25 million twitter followers). On the other hand, he doesn't want to share his life and will cuss out fans who do take an interest. The wedding photos were hardly the most earth shattering incident to happen to a celebrity. It was hardly the kind of personal intrusion on a level with Jennifer Lawrence (who by the way, isn't on twitter and doesn't court attention like Punk does). The WWE superstar has turned into this Howard Hughes type character. Reclusive and paranoid, unable to resist the attention but at the same time repulsed by his fame. The thing is, Punk is actually an intelligent guy. How can he not recognise that he's becoming a self satisfied prima donna like Kanye West. The two Chicago natives share the same enormous ego flaw that makes so many of us groan. Here's ten ironies that the Howard Hughes of wrestling doesn't want you to realise.
