10 Divas Who Accused WWE Of Sexism

Remember when Sable sued Vince?

With recent news breaking from former WWE creative team member, Kevin Eck that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon want to practically reinvent how the women of the promotion are presented, there's never been a better time to explore all the times that the fairer sex lashed out at the company for the way females are treated under the WWE banner. According to Eck, it's Vince McMahon - the man who still has the final say in WWE-land - who has stopped any progression for the Divas division over the years, feeling that women are much better off used as a special attraction rather than an actual focal point of the show, being portrayed as a 'bonus' to the matches involving males rather than on equal footing. Understandably, this can come across as pretty sexist, and that's not something WWE - as a corporate company - would ever be comfortable being linked to. There are sponsors to appease, but any progressive and positive changes can only be considered a good thing. WWE's women are currently a long way away from participating in jelly matches or 'Bra & Panties, contests, but they clearly still don't get the respect they deserve. Perhaps in a bid to beat that respect out of the juggernaut brand that is WWE, these women have been pretty outspoken over the years about exactly what they think of the way they and many others have been handled, just because they happen to be women.
