Have you ever been so invested in a good book that you've lost a night of sleep because you kept telling yourself "Just one more chapter"? Or in the digital age, have you ever binge watched an entire season of a TV show on Netflix in one weekend because you just couldn't get enough? Of course you have; that's literally the only way to watch Netflix.

Now imagine getting towards the end of the book - only to find that somebody has torn out the last chapter and you have no way of finding out how the damn story ends.
