Perhaps unfair to include these in a past tense considering the distinct possibility that WWE could go to the well as long as all four are still on the company payroll, but there often feels a very, very right time to book certain storylines, and the company's Road To WrestleMania 35 provided a solid foundation for the quartet to come together for the first time ever.

Ahead of a bone-headed loss to The IIconics, Sasha Banks and Bayley were in the process of carving a legacy as proud and powerful Women's Tag Team Champions. Within them sat the same competitive fire as their teammates, but they'd figured out how to harness it for a greater good. Watching them try to coach it into their NXT comrades on a grander stage would have developed the characters of all four. Regrettably, the moment passed.

As friends-turned-bitter-rivals, Charlotte and Becky could have found forced cohesion in the face of a preeminent threat that centred around their 'Show Of Shows' opponent. The stars - in the case, two opposing stars and their passable friends - were aligned for something huge that regrettably never came to be...
