The 2006 Royal Rumble match was rather eclectic, demonstrating just how cluttered the roster was at the time with go-nowhere performers. Eleven out of the 30 entrants in the match have not wrestled in another Royal Rumble match since.

The complete list: Simon Dean, Psicosis, Jonathan Coachman, Bobby Lashley, Sylvain Grenier, Joey Mercury, Tatanka, Trevor Murdoch, Eugene, Road Warrior Animal, and Orlando Jordan. Definitely a list that screams "Yep, that was 2006, alright."

At least Lashley and Mercury (and maybe Murdoch) were on the warmer end of the push spectrum at the time. The likes of Dean, Psicosis, Tatanka, Animal, and Jordan were all finished as active WWE performers by next year's Rumble, while others like Eugene, Grenier and even Mercury were excised later in 2007.
