9. Rey Mysterio Returned Early From A Knee Injury
Mysterio was in the twilight of his WWE run, soon to be booed out of the building at the 2014 Royal Rumble for not having a scraggly beard and kickpads. Injuries were mounting seemingly more and more, and he missed eight months in 2013 alone with another in a long list of knee issues.
Mysterio returned a week before Survivor Series, and was hastily inserted into the ten-man elimination match. The surprise run-in to herald his return saw Mysterio moving at less-than-optimum speed. He was apparently not ready to return to the ring, but was asked back early by WWE brass. With ten men in the elimination match, the rationale seemed to be that Mysterio wouldn't have to do as much physical work.
