10 Forgotten Finishers From Well-Known WWE Superstars

9. Sheamus - High Cross

Not long after Sheamus made his debut in WWE, he began vanquishing competition with a finishing move that he referred to as the High Cross (it was also known as the Celtic Cross at one point). The Celtic Warrior would use all his might to hoist his opponent up above his head by their arms and then drive them down to the canvas. If the move sounds familiar, that's because it was identical to WWE legend Razor Ramon's signature manoeuvre — the Razor's Edge.

Sheamus eventually swapped it for his current finisher, the Brogue Kick. While this suits the character much better, the High Cross was undeniably convincing as well. It's unknown why the change was ultimately made, but as it was a rather risky move, it's possible that WWE decided to ban it for safety reasons.

Whatever the reason, losing the High Cross didn't damage Sheamus in the slightest as he already had an abundance of signature moves to fall back on.
