When Brock Lesnar left WWE in 2004, Christian was seven years away from winning his first World Heavyweight Championship. 'Captain Charisma' was an integral member of WWE’s midcard when Lesnar arrived on the scene, so it is somewhat surprising that the two never faced off in singles competition during Brock's first spell.

After a brief and underwhelming singles run, Christian moved back into the tag team division before Lesnar made it to the main roster. As the 'Next Big Thing' motored through the competition, 'Captain Charisma' was teaming with Lance Storm as the Un-Americans, winning tag team gold just one month before Lesnar’s first world championship.

When Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, Christian had only recently returned from injury himself. The shoulder issues dogged Christian for the rest of his career however, and it petered out with little fanfare. Christian and Lesnar never shared a ring, not in a multi-man match, a television squash, or a showcase singles bout.

He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
