10 Fun Facts About My Trip To WWE WrestleMania XIX

Meeting Shawn Michaels, watching my childhood hero and...BBQ sauce?

When I get to AT&T Stadium this April it will be the thirteenth WrestleMania that I've been able to witness live. So for the next 12 weeks I€™m going to regale you with some of my favourite facts and stories from each of my trips across the pond to see The Grandaddy of Them All.

If you got a chance to check out my article last week on what I€™ve learned from attending so many Mania shows in person, you€™ll be familiar with what made me make the trip to Seattle back in 2003 to go and see the biggest show in wrestling. When I priced it up, it wasn€™t as mind blowingly expensive as I€™d imagined, so the credit card was max€™ed out and off I went to the good old US of A.

As a kid, I went to a variety of WWF house shows at the SECC in Glasgow seeing such big names as The Undertaker and Bret Hart, as well as the likes of 1-2-3 Kid and Kwang. My Mum also took me to some InsurreXtion and Rebellion shows in England, too.

Nothing could prepare me for how surreal it would feel to attend a WrestleMania. This is the event as a kid that you€™d buy the VHS or watch on pay per-view but you never imagine you€™d get to be there. This time, I was.

Here€™s 10 fun facts from that trip.
