Modern day wrestling is more and more about "moments" than it is structured storytelling, with WWE prioritising an immediate reaction to a satisfying payoff to long-term booking.
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of RAW in January, the WWE Network counted down the 100 greatest moments in the show’s history, with the likes of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, The Rock and Triple H all appearing frequently. Even CM Punk got a deserved mention, which didn't help the incessant, annoying chants to die the death they deserve.
But great moments do not have to be limited to great superstars. There are wrestlers throughout the history of WWE who may not have had stellar careers, but have certainly delivered stellar moments which are sometimes glossed over because of a lack of star power.
This does not mean memorable moments for the wrong reasons, such as Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship or Santina Marella being crowned Miss WrestleMania. This list is designed to honour moments that were loved by fans, or at least the majority of them, even if that love was not transferred to the superstars involved beyond that single night.
