The f*cking state of this.

Bobby Lashley should be Vince McMahon's favourite wrestler of all time in 2018. He was over a decade ago and the massive-muscled monster wasn't half the performer he is now. And yet, until the company instructed him to rocket up a rope and knock a giant tyre about on Monday Night Raw, big Bobby looked like yet another complete geek in a seemingly endless production line of them.

The spectacularly misguided sit-down interview with Renee Young was the obvious turning point - WWE had brought the big man back without remotely considering how he'd get used, but mention of his misadventures with his sisters only stirred the sh*t rather than a thickened plot. Sami Zayn gamely competed with the rancid material as his heel foil, but even he knew he was sat atop a rapidly sinking ship.

This match could be a sleeper hit - these are men capable of working around the b*llocks they've been served. Lashley's eventual win won't be enough to salvage his already enflamed main event prospects.
