10 Last-Minute WWE WrestleMania 34 Rumours You Need To Know

Anything can happen, right?

Getting your hopes up on the eve of a WWE show isn't ordinarily advisable, but there is remarkably little to complain about when it comes to tomorrow night's WrestleMania 34.

The card looks absolutely stacked, filled with mouth-watering meetings between well-matched opponents. All of the main roster titles are on the line, including the two secondary belts. A non-wrestler will compete, but so will Kurt Angle. For God's sake, Daniel Bryan is getting back in the ring for the first time in three years.

Honestly, the only way we could conceivably go to bed disappointed on Sunday is if we spend the intervening time foolishly filling our heads with far-fetched rumours surrounding potential returns and shock twists, so that the real thing can never live up to our inordinately high expectations.

So, let's try and keep these grounded somewhat in reality. CM Punk and Conor McGregor aren't going to show up (especially the latter; he's in a spot of legal bother at the moment, in case you haven't heard). As for Zlatan Ibrahimovic - well, that's just ridiculous.

Or is it?

A few days ago, WWE fans had pretty much resigned themselves to the idea that Braun Strowman's mystery WrestleMania 34 tag team partner would be one of Big Show and Big Cass, primarily on the basis that, like him, they're both really, really big.

But despair not: there is some cause for cautious optimism at the 11th hour, with several online reports claiming that Rey Mysterio is the wrestler The Monster Among Men will choose to team with in his match against Sheamus and Cesaro.

This is instantly believable to anyone who has watched WWE for more than, like, five minutes. Michael Cole and co. would get a frankly impressive amount of mileage out of the comical size differential between Braun and Rey, especially if they became a permanent part of Raw's tag division thereafter.

If there's reason to doubt it, it's that the latter - despite appearing at the Royal Rumble a couple of months ago - is currently said to be nursing an injury. It's the kind of injury where nobody really knows when he will be back though, and given who's involved, this match isn't likely to last very long anyway.
