10 Legendary WWE Superstars With Forgettable WrestleMania Careers

Who were the biggest stars that didn't need the Showcase Of The Immortals to cement their legacy?

When fans think of the legendary Hall Of Famers and future inductees, the best wrestlers of their generations, it's only natural they think of the great events that these superstars have performed on. WrestleMania being the Grandaddy of Them All, and so many of WWE's greatest performers have made their mark on the event. Under the bright lights of 'Mania, many superstars have cemented an unforgettable career because of their performances at the event. Savage versus Steamboat. Hogan slamming Andre. Warrior beating Hogan. The Undertaker's Streak. Bryan tapping Batista. Rollins cashing in. It's no coincidence that many of these "greatest moments ever" have occurred at the Showcase of the Immortals. After all, it's Vince McMahon's proudest accomplishment and most of the writing and direction for WWE's year-round product is designed to culminate at its biggest event. But what about those legendary wrestlers who didn't have a stellar career when it came to WrestleMania? There are superstars that had their greatest moments outside of the Show of Shows. Perhaps their WrestleMania moment was non-existent or so brief that it's often overlooked, making their WrestleMania career much less impressive than their career overall. It doesn't make them any less memorable, but it is interesting to think that, as important as WrestleMania is, it didn't exactly factor into the legacy of these all-time greats. While Shawn Michaels may be Mr. WrestleMania, these 10 superstars, all of whom are either current Hall Of Famers or unquestioned future honorees, had just as celebrated careers without making the WWE's greatest event an integral part of it.
