Here's what you could have won.

With the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber now in the bag, the match card for the Grandest Stage of Them All is at last beginning to take shape.

And while there have been plenty of groans about Roman Reigns appearing in the main event for a fourth (that's FOURTH) consecutive year, things are generally looking pretty promising across the board.

Barring an unlikely title change at Fastlane, SmackDown's AJ Styles will fight Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship, Asuka will get a one-on-one singles bout in her inaugural WrestleMania, and Ronda Rousey will make her in-ring bow alongside a returning Kurt Angle.

Honestly, what's not to like?

Well, since you mention it: there are, inevitably, one or two matches fans were clamouring to see that have had to be cut. Some of these dream bouts have fallen by the wayside because they decided to go in a different creative direction, others because of injury - but what they share in common is that you're definitely not going to be watching them on 8 April.

Here is everything that could have been.

10. The New Day Vs. The Club

The New Day versus The Club at WrestleMania is a match that has been talked about for at least a couple of months - ever since Finn Bálor once again began acknowledging his association with Messrs Gallows and Anderson on Raw.

In many ways, it feels like a good time to pull the trigger on it too. The Demon King is in desperate need of something - anything - to help breathe new life into his career, while his two former running mates have been floundering since losing their belts at last year's showpiece.

But there are few signs in front of the cameras that this is what company heads have planned. The Raw three-piece are yet to interact with SmackDown's New Day, who appear instead to be renewing acquaintances with Tag Team Champs The Usos.

Finn is also flirting with a charge at the The Miz's Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania, and now looks odds-on to feature in some sort of multi-man affair alongside Seth Rollins and perhaps Strowman as well. It just doesn't seem likely, that's all.
