But news that WWE's Ultimate Underdog suffered a potential bicep injury this weekend will probably put this one to bed for good. Even in a best case scenario, it's highly improbable that he could return to fighting fitness in time for 8 April.

More's the pity too, because the prospect of seeing these two mega faces one-on-one in New Orleans was beginning to seem like an enticing one. Neither of them are in their prime exactly but both have proven - and recently - that they are still capable of putting on a show.

The upshot of this is that Cena still needs an opponent for the Show of Shows, and in the absence of any fellow veterans, this spot could end up being filled by a young up-and-comer, or at the very least a relative WWE newbie like Samoa Joe or Braun Strowman.
