10 Memorable WWE Moments From Sunday Night Heat

9. RVD Vs. Mr Perfect (Intercontinental Championship)

When Mr Perfect made his surprise return to the WWE at Royal Rumble 2002, long-time fans began salivating at the prospect of Curt Hennig lock up with a roster of fresh faces and young superstars.

Fans wouldn't have to wait long to see those dream bouts become a reality and Mr Perfect would soon mix it up with stars like Edge, the Hardy Boyz and even "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Incredibly, Perfect also gained several house show victories over a young Brock Lesnar during this time as well.

While the return was short-lived, one of the most memorable matches of his homecoming came on Sunday Night Heat, when Mr Perfect met "Mr PPV". Blending old school with new school, the bout was a feast for veteran fans and seeing Rob Van Dam in his prime clash with Hennig (who hadn't missed a beat in his time away) made for great viewing.

As a veteran of the business, Curt knew his place on the card during this run and did what he could get RVD over during the match, bouncing around for his younger foe and taking much of his trademark offence. Ultimately, Hennig did the honours for RVD in a good bout that could have been great if it had been given the time.
