How did we get here? Shinsuke Nakamura is a Royal Rumble winner, so is Asuka, and the future looks bright as WWE start kicking off 'WrestleMania Season' before the big night itself looms on 8 April in New Orleans. If this kind of thing keeps going, 2018 could be a very, very good year indeed.
We sincerely hope this feeling of goodwill will continue. Sadly, those Rumble fallout episodes of Raw and SmackDown didn't exactly lend hope the idea that WWE are fully focused on letting Nakamura vs. AJ Styles kill it in the ring or Asuka dominate the women's conversation. Meanwhile, there are ominous signs on Tuesdays that the team of Kevin Owens/Sayn Zayn won't march into 'Mania united.
They wouldn't, would they? Not during the best time of the year to be a wrestling fan? WWE surely wouldn't mess things up and ruin their own party by panic booking?
