10 Most Anticipated (Unlikely But Not Impossible) Wrestling Matches Of 2018

One 'Last Ride' for The Undertaker?

According to Daniel Bryan, a WWE in-ring return won't happen at all if the company does not book him to wrestle at WrestleMania. All signs point towards a Bryan vs. Shane McMahon match at some point, but that's not the one fans want to see happen. No, there are others people are desperate to see Daniel work with. Read: anybody else.

This may mean Bryan leaves WWE entirely and channels the spirit of Chris Jericho by hitting New Japan. If he does, he'll be setting the scene for huge box office business. Bryan's wrestling comeback is the unlikely story 2018 dreamed of hosting, and it looks closer than ever before.

It wouldn't be the only stirring return, though.

Other comebacks, like The Undertaker's, are equally unlikely, and yet there's unfinished business for the legend. If he's healthy enough, WWE would surely love to squeeze more dollars from 'Taker's career by putting on the 'Mania match that got away.

We're not talking about Sting...

10. Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon

Colour us surprised if MMA hero Ronda Rousey isn't part of the first ever female Royal Rumble come January 28.

She's the perfect marquee signing for WWE's history-making match, and her arrival in the company has been on the cards for years. Remember Ronda taking down Stephanie and Triple H at WrestleMania 31?

Three years on, what if WWE are finally poised to present Rousey vs. Steph at 'Mania 34? Depending on what happens in the Rumble (and if Ronda is even involved in it), there may be other matches more viable than a showdown with McMahon. But that doesn't mean it can't happen at some point over the next 12 months. Stephanie's character needs taken down a peg or two this year. She has been written to run over everyone from Mick Foley and Sasha Banks to Paul Heyman and a returning Kurt Angle.

Any good heel needs comeuppance, and that would come in the form of a thorough thrashing from 'Rowdy' Ronda in New Orleans.
