For all intents and purposes it seems as though The Undertaker has retired, as WrestleMania 33 ended with 'Taker leaving his iconic hat, gloves, and jacket in the ring. This wasn't the first time the 'Deadman' has hinted at retirement, but the finality of this particular happening is impossible to deny. If 'Taker wrestles again, the wrestling world will be extremely surprised.

As such the career retrospectives will begin almost immediately. The Undertaker is as respected as a professional wrestler can be, a man spoken of in hushed tones who put together an iconic career without resorting to the sordid world of backstage politics (well, not too much).

It will come as little surprise that his most frequent opponents were his most lauded rivalries. 'Taker's feuds with Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mankind and more shaped the eras in which they occurred, and lit up by televised battles and pay-per-view epics.

So who faced The Undertaker on the most occasions? The answer is found here. For arguments sake, only televised matches count (TV and pay-per-view), and any match in which The Undertaker was an opponent is taken into account (battle royals included).

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
