Not every instance of a Superstar flubbing a spot or botching a move is humorous.

Case in point, Lita.

On December 6, 2004, Lita challenged Trish Stratus for the Women's Championship in the main event of Raw. It was a milestone moment, the first time two women headlined the flagship show without men running around the ring, stealing their spotlight. It was totally understandable that in the moment, they would want to throw caution to the wind and prove they belonged.

Unfortunately, Lita nearly broke her damn neck proving her worth as a feature attraction.

Executing a suicide dive, she launched herself through the top and middle ropes and crashed to the arena floor, landing on her neck and folding herself backward like an accordion.

She was ok, thankfully, and would go on to win the championship in a thrilling match. More so than anything, though, she would cement her status as the subject of internet infamy thanks to YouTube and every GIF that resulted.
