10 Most Patriotic American WWE Wrestlers Ever

Some real Americans to carry the flag for the 4th of July.

Today is the 4th of July, also known as America's Independence Day. It is a day where many fireworks will be set off, flags will be raised and, I'm sure, many beers will be drank, too.

As well as being the day that America celebrates its 1776 independence from the British, it is also a Monday, which means there will be a special, America-heavy episode of WWE Raw where the national anthem will be sung loud by Lilian Garcia, red white and blue fireworks will be set off and many, many beers will be drank.

Wrestling and patriotism, particularly American patriotism, go together hand-in-hand, to the point where the USA-loving hero is a well-worn trope. Many WWE stars have donned the colours of the Stars and Stripes over the years in search of home-field support, often encountering a dastardly, America-hating villain.

Lots of performers have done so, expressing their love of the Land of the Free, but none were as patriotic as the following 10 WWE stars.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
