Let's hold judgement on The Bludgeon Brothers for now. They may have the whiff of a team who the WWE writers will abruptly lose faith in within a couple of months, but being tall and bearded is very much in vogue at the moment.

In one sense, the developments of the last month have put Luke Harper in pretty much exactly the same position he was in one year ago - when he was still doing the bidding of Bray Wyatt as part of wrestling's most dysfunctional family.

But at least then there were signs that a singles run could be imminent. The tension between him and Randy Orton was genuinely interesting, and - to some - should have led to Harper's involvement in WrestleMania's WWE Title match.

All of that led to a strong start to 2017 for the former Intercontinental Champion, but his momentum fizzled out just as soon as Randy Orton became the number one contender, and it's been a long climb-down ever since.
