10 Most Useless WWE Royal Rumble Entrants Ever

What do Michael Cole, Hornswoggle and a fake Razor Ramon have in common?

The Royal Rumble is one of WWE's biggest matches of the year. Admittedly, the impact of the bout has been lessened in more recent years, as the company now bridge the gap to WrestleMania with another pay-per-view in February. This means that the once-mighty over-the-top-rope extravaganza has lost some sheen, because it isn't the guaranteed ticket to 'Mania's main event that WWE may claim. Still, wrestling fans generally enjoy the Rumble. There's something special about it, probably because it has been part of the promotion's cannon since 1988. Back then, only 20 men entered the Royal Rumble and there was no WrestleMania prize awaiting the winner. The match has evolved as the years have rolled on, but sometimes that hasn't been for the better. On occasion, the match has exposed the thin nature of the WWF/WWE roster, something which will be explored here. Worse yet, there have been a number of entrants that leave fans scratching their heads in complete disbelief as to why they were given a number in the first place. They really are useless. It's not only those who didn't last too long that are looked at - there have also been a whole host of Royal Rumble entrants that just didn't serve any purpose whatsoever. WWE have long wanted to portray the idea that anyone can win the match. As these performers prove, that's simply not the case.
