What a difference one person makes. With Roman Reigns on top and The Usos in tow, enthusiasm for World Wrestling Entertainment's product wasn't exactly sky-high. Sure, AJ Styles was opposite him in the main event, but there wasn't much in the way of belief that the Phenomenal One could save us from further solidifying of the Roman Empire. The New Era had begun, but the New Era came with a Roman caveat.

Enter Seth Rollins. Returning to WWE after a six-month absence, Rollins attacked Reigns after the match and held aloft the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that he never lost, the title that he had to relinquish due to a freak knee injury, the title he had defended all summer after winning it with the perfect Money in the Bank cash-in at WrestleMania 31.

With Rollins back in the picture, the WWE landscape looks a whole lot brighter. Creative is now full to the brim with possibilities, and as we begin the road to SummerSlam there is a legitimate interest in where we are headed. What does the future hold for Seth Rollins? What about Roman Reigns? With a whole host of other big names due to return, the title picture sure does look a lot more interesting now doesn't it?

Here are 10 new directions for WWE after the return of the Architect.

10. The Return Of The Authority

Let's get the eye-rolling entry out of the way early. Before Rollins destroyed his knee at a live event in Dublin last November, his relationship with The Authority was at breaking point. Rollins and the former Director of Operations (Corporate Kane) had already come to blows, and the smart money was on further splintering before an eventual bout between Rollins and Triple H.

A torn ACL, a torn MCL and a destroyed meniscus put paid to that plan, but with Rollins back on our screens the Authority can't be too far behind. WWE has a long history of ignoring unfinished stories, but this is less prevalent and likely when the ruling family are involved. Rollins vs. The Authority will reach its conclusion, don't you worry.

Triple H hasn't been seen on our screens since WrestleMania 32, but the fact that he recently signed a three-year extension as an in-ring talent is all we need to know on this subject. Pencil Seth Rollins vs. Triple H in for whichever big card you wish.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
