10 Most Notorious CM Punk Urban Legends

Looking at reasons why he quit, his skill as a "chick magnet" and why he lost the World Title.

CM Punk is one of the most interesting performers in WWE history. Whether you like him or not, you're probably never going to forget about him. He spent eight years working for WWE and he walked out of the company earlier this year in a way that few have ever done it. He just quit. Despite the fact that he had six months left on his contract, he walked up to Vince McMahon backstage at Raw the night after the Royal Rumble and went home. There have been all kinds of stories about why Punk left. He hasn't talked about it publicly, so we really don't know the real story except from second or third hand sources. Punk was pretty quiet on Twitter for months, then he started tweeting about hockey and Comic Con work he was doing with Nerdist. He also got married to WWE Diva AJ Lee back in June. When his wedding photo got posted on Twitter, he did an angry tweet about it that he deleted. He hasn't been active on Twitter for the past month either. Punk's future in wrestling is a major question mark. Earlier this year when WWE returned to Punk's hometown of Chicago for Raw, there were reports that he would be back in the company before WrestleMania 30. That didn't happen. Every time WWE goes back to Chicago, the CM Punk chants start up. They addressed it last week with Stephanie McMahon wondering why fans were cheering for a quitter and then ripping on the fans saying they were quitters to. Since Punk's future is a major question, it's time to look at his past. There are plenty of stories from his WWE career that fans have talked about for a long time. What we're here to do is share those stories, mention why people believe them and then discuss whether we should believe it. Here's a look at ten urban legends surrounding the career of WWE's (former) Straight Edge Superstar, five time WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.
