WWE: 10 Opponents For Brock Lesnar’s Traditional Extreme Rules Appearance

Extreme Rules has quietly become one of WWE's better pay-per-views in recent years. In the wake of the fallout from WrestleMania, the show is a chance for feuds to be taken to a more violent level. It's jokingly referred to as Extreme Rematches by some due to the abundance of return bouts featured, but the quality as of late has ranged from good to great. One of the highlights of the last two Extreme Rules cards has been Brock Lesnar. In 2012, in his first match back with the company Brock took on John Cena in one of the best matches of that year. It was a brutal affair that was different from anything we had grown accustomed to seeing in the company, full of blood and stiff offense. The two men battered each other before Cena Rose Above MMA and pulled out a gutsy win. 2013's match featured the third and final installment of the disappointing Lesnar/HHH trilogy. Many fans bemoaned burning up Brock's limited appearances on matches with HHH. It felt like a waste of an expensive, big name talent to have him trade wins with a semi-retired performer rather than using him to give the rub to younger up and coming stars. To add to that, the matches weren't all that great as the two just didn't seem to mesh that well. So what's in store for The Beast Incarnate at this year's Extreme Rules event? Many of the matches on this list have little chance of actually happening, but they're all feasible and would make for compelling bouts. If WWE chooses to give us a Brock Lesnar match on the show, here's a list of 10 possible opponents.
