10 Opportunities WWE’s Already Missed With Sting

Have WWE already missed the boat with Sting?

Sting is one of the most popular, enduring characters in the history of professional wrestling. From his early days in the UWF through to his final days at TNA, Sting has constantly wowed crowds and kept fans guessing as to how he'd reinvent himself next. He started out as a bodybuilder in the mid-1980s but quickly proved himself as a top tier talent. Whether it's as the Venice Beach surfer, or the rafter-dwelling Crow, Sting has made an impact and crafted a legacy in professional wrestling that very few can match. One of the most impressive aspects of this is that he's done all this without ever stepping foot in WWE. He was WCW's flagbearer in the Monday Night Wars, and the one true homegrown star among the Hogans, Savages and Outsiders. From there, he went to the upstart TNA and alongside Kurt Angle, and rising stars such as AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, he provided credibility for the fledgling promotion. Now, after just under thirty years in professional wrestling, the man called Sting is finally under WWE contract and set to make a big impact whenever he shows up on WWE TV. Here are ten opportunities that WWE have already missed by not having Sting under contract sooner.
