Their formation may have been more "Outta Nowhere" than Randy Orton caring about a match in 2019, but Aleister Black and Ricochet are already setting records as a tag team.

On an episode of NXT TV, Black and Ricochet defeated The Forgotten Sons to win the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, which has been a staple of NXT since 2015.

The Striking Man from Amsterdam and The One and Only join such illustrious teams as Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe, The Authors of Pain, and The Undisputed Era as winners of the tournament. However, there is one difference between Black and Ricochet and the rest of that list, and it's not necessarily a good thing.

Of all the teams that received an NXT Tag Team Championship match from winning the Dusty Classic, Black and Ricochet are the only ones to lose said match.

Balor and Joe never got a title shot when they won the tournament. AOP defeated #DIY in their follow up match to become tag champs. The Era's situation was a little more complicated, as both the Dusty Classic and their NXT Tag Team titles were up for grabs in the finals of the 2018 tournament, but they still came out on top.

When Black and Ricochet lost to War Raiders, they snapped this winning streak. However, they still made some positive history this weekend...
