Are we on the road to WrestleMania yet? When does that much-travelled journey begin anyway? With just over six weeks left in 2017, it is fair to say that the 'Showcase of the Immortals' is now visible in the distance. Survivor Series is the last major show of the year, and just two months sit between the Thanksgiving extravaganza and the first big show of 2018 - Royal Rumble
A WrestleMania ‘main event’ is up for grabs at the Royal Rumble, as 30 men do battle in an over-the-top-rope battle royal, a tradition as well established for wrestling fans as Christmas. There are usually one or two obvious contenders to win the Rumble, but WWE isn’t averse to throwing in a surprise or two.
Who will stand tall when 29 other men have fallen in Philadelphia? Could a new face be the one heading to WrestleMania, or will a past winner prevail again? Does anyone other than Roman Reigns have a real chance?
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can buy it at the link below...
