10 Problems With Booking John Cena Vs Brock Lesnar At WWE SummerSlam

WWE got themselves into this mess... now how do they get out of it?

Never one to shy away from a blockbusting rematch to erase painful memories of the first experience, the WWE have tried to enhance Brock Lesnar's incredible legacy by having him once again fight John Cena on pay-per-view. For some, this will be an incredible opportunity for Lesnar to finally compound those hideous memories of Extreme Rules 2012, when Cena sprang up a win out of nowhere (as he has done many times in the past) to effectively bury Lesnar on his first match back in the WWE. However, wrestling fans with so much as a weak broadband connection (and access to the latest musings in WWE's ever-changing backstage plans) are aware that this wasn't the original plan for SummerSlam, and that there are plenty of holes which you can pick at in the match - and the overall feud. When you consider it's two massive stars going head-to-head, it shouldn't feel as murky and uninspiring as this - but it has all the enthusiasm of a balloon slowly letting its air out, before going as flat as a pancake. If the WWE had high hopes that this match was going to encapsulate everyone and make them forget about the horrific goings on elsewhere in the company, they are gravely mistaken. The iconic Jim Ross would have tried his damnedest to get us all excited about this contest, but not even "Good Ol' JR" could ramp up the interest in Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena. A "slobberknocker" this ain't; a whole host of poor decisions have led us to this point, where we're presented with an incredibly underwhelming SummerSlam main event. As WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena has forayed into rap music into the past (apologies if you'd firmly erased those nasty images from your head), it seems appropriate to question the amount of problems with John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar with a Jay-Z metaphor. There aren't as many as 99 Problems, but there are at least ten which you can mull over to prove just how bad this match will be at SummerSlam.
