10 Problems WWE MUST Solve In The 2019 Draft

9. The NXT Women's Logjam

WWE Draft 2019
WWE

At the time of writing, Shayna Baszler has been NXT Women's Champion for 457 of the past 528 days. Only a two-month Kairi Sane reign splits her complete and utter developmental dominance, with 'The Pirate Princess,' Dakota Kai, Ember Moon, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and others all falling by Shayna's hand, leaving little left for her to do at Full Sail University.

Whether or not you believe that diminishing returns have already crept in with Baszler, it's time for her to move on up. 'The Queen of Spades' is 39 years old. She doesn't have much time left to make an impact on Raw and SmackDown and after exhausting most NXT options, it may be wise to reshuffle the Women's division and create opportunities for others by calling her up in the draft.

This week's NXT will see Shirai, Belair, Candice LeRae, Mia Yim compete for a shot at the belt. Each could make a compelling champion, though the answer is Rhea Ripley. She's the only wrestler believably badass enough to take Baszler in a straight-up one-on-one fight, so here's hoping they revisit that programme after last week's disqualification.
