10 Quick Fixes To Save NXT

8. The Dillinger Escape Plan

Another stalwart it may be time to say farewell to, Tye Dillinger can only really be NXT Champion at this point, or his usefulness on the brand is decidedly lower than '10'.

However, with a Bobby Roode's shot assured at Nakamura this Sunday, it's hard to argue against the 'Glorious' one assuming the mantle for now.

Subsequently, a programme between the two can begin in earnest that will mark his long-awaited ascension to the main roster either in time for Wrestlemania, or the typical pivotal post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw.

Soft-launching the character to WWE eyes in the Royal Rumble match, Tye could return to Full Sail with a spring in his step, raising the ire of several of the midcard heels that have previously scored victories over 'The Perfect 10'.

Wanting another taste of glory after his Rumble experience, Tye could reclaim old losses and take new wins, forcing William Regal to give him the chance to avenge his highest profile defeat ever in a shot at NXT Champion Roode at TakeOver: Orlando.

Like Sami Zayn, Bayley and Balor before him, Dillinger would go out on his back, but now his open-palmed gestures would instead be a goodbye to developmental and hello to the main roster.
