10 Reasons Lesnar Vs Cena Vs Rollins Will Rule The Royal Rumble

This could be awesome clap clap, clap clap clap...

There have been very few championship bouts that have ever outshone the Royal Rumble match itself. This Sunday could one of those rare instances. The main event, which is due to take place before the Rumble match as we have become accustomed to in recent years, pits Seth Rollins against John Cena against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar with the strap on the line. This match is an intriguing prospect as WWE could go a number of ways with it, which could make it a more memorable match than the event's title bout. The champion's future is up in the air which is bound to play a huge part in proceedings. However, it is widely expected that he will keep the belt until WrestleMania XXXI where the would be Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns will take it from him. Cena could win to become a 16-time world champion and level the record set by The Nature Boy Ric Flair. However, the fact nothing has been made of this potential record equalling feat seems to suggest he won't. Rollins enters the match as the perennial underdog. His ascension to the top of the card has been a rapid one over the last seven months since he turned his back on The Shield. He is the company's top heel at the moment but does hold the Money in the Bank briefcase, which may count against him at this stage. It would be interesting to see how the powers that be would work a storyline involving a champion that also has the MITB briefcase in his possession. Whatever the outcome, this match is set up to be one of the most compelling in WWE's recent history. Here are 10 reasons it will steal the show at Sunday's Royal Rumble event.
