10 Reasons May Is The Most Cursed Month In WWE History

The WWE doesn't have much luck in the month of May, it's a time of year the wrestlers and Vince McMahon in particular seem to suffer. Ranging from the unfortunate to the morbid, the wrestling world seems to have a curse hanging over it this month of the year. WWE even made a storyline about a 'May curse' in the 2006 storyline about Kane's fear of "May 19th". The last couple of weeks have added to the May curse and recent incidents will be covered within this feature alongside the history of the bad luck WWE seems to get in this month. Legal woes, financial folly, company mishaps, big star injuries and unfortunately even some of the most shocking WWE deaths have taken place in May. We will cover all of these unfortunate events and the consequences they had for Vince McMahon and his WWE empire.

Honourable Mention

Eric Bischoff was born on May 27th 1955, going on to become the President of WCW. For Vince McMahon's WWF this proved to be the most consistent thorn in the side they ever had, Bischoff would trounce them in the TV ratings for weeks on end in the mid 90's. Eric had the energy and imagination to beat Vince at his own game, he made WCW the number one brand in pro wrestling and very nearly put the WWF out of business. No doubt about it, the man who arrived on this world in May of 1955 was a curse which just about wiped the WWF out - thankfully the cure in Stone Cold Steve Austin saved the day!
