10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Must Return As A Heel

9. It Will Add A Layer To The Shield Triple Threat

Ever since Seth Rollins turned on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, fans have been clamouring for a Triple Threat match between the former Shield members. While many hoped it would headline a SummerSlam or even a WrestleMania, the match is on for July's Battleground PPV.

Unfortunately, Reigns's suspension has dulled enthusiasm for the bout. What should be the ultimate match featuring Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose will suffer from "The Guy's" absence during the buildup - there's not even a chance to manufacture any heat between Reigns and Ambrose, who are supposed to be best friends.

Likewise, the WWE Universe is wary - will the match be everything we've always hoped to see, or will it simply be a backdrop for Reigns to saunter in and take his title back after a month of inactivity? If the latter happens - at the expense of Dean Ambrose, no less - the reaction will be unlike anything even Reigns has experienced.

Fear of that happening may taint how the crowd receives the match - but if Reigns works the bout as an out-and-out heel, or turns during it, then the story will change. Even if Reigns wins the title, his heel turn will be the real news, and fans have short memories.
