10 Reasons Why Vince McMahon Will NEVER Shake Off The WWE ‘Stigma’

7. Friends Without Benefits

Never in America's short-but-decorated history has an association with a President been considered so toxic.

Regardless of political leanings, agendas or biases, Vince McMahon's long-standing mutually beneficial relationship with Donald Trump has now become yet another stick to beat him with as he endeavours on an audacious new path.

Divisive on a good day, Trump's White House tenure will undoubtedly go down as the most contentious in US political history regardless of if he manages four years, eight, or even survives until next week without inadvertently triggering a nuclear war. Though he's never been better placed to kick open any doors Vince requests, staying in bed with 'The Donald' looks contrarian to a fault, even for the notoriously competitive McMahon.

During a humorous aside on the massively missed Talking Smack, Daniel Bryan shared the rage he heard in his headset discussing his distaste for Trump and the American right wing shortly before the election, but the company kept relatively partial beyond that. Would McMahon be able to stifle his usual hubris for the greater good again?
