10 Reasons WWE Doesn't Need Vince McMahon

It's time for the genetic jackhammer to step aside.

Vince McMahon is the most important person in the history of professional wrestling. He took a regional sideshow with its origins in circus and carnival country and transformed it into Sports Entertainment. In doing so, he redefined and monopolised an entire industry. He created a multi-national powerhouse of a company, and created a legacy that will truly stand the test of time. Over the years, he€™s been a fixture on WWE television. In the eighties and early nineties, he was a humble announcer and commentator, with no reference to his true role within the company. As The Attitude Era dawned, he took on the role of Mr. McMahon, the tyrannical boss who provided the perfect opponent and adversary to €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin, and together they took professional wrestling into the mainstream in a way it never had been before or since. Now, it€™s the twenty-first century, and Vince McMahon is a year away from seventy. He shows no signs of slowing down, and many believe he€™ll run WWE until his dying day. But he shouldn€™t have to. In many ways his refusal to step aside is actually hurting the business, and the best thing he could do right now is to walk away. Here are ten reasons why the WWE would be better off without Vince McMahon.
