On average, WWE's writers have to pen material for 156 hours of Raw, 104 hours of SmackDown and at least (using four hours per show as the norm) 56 hours of pay-per-view and Network specials this year. That's a ton of segments, promos, matches and more, and it must be wearying.

Maybe, due to that whopping 316 hours of fresh content, it's understandable why some storylines in WWE flat out suck.

For every killer angle we've seen recently, like Shinsuke Nakamura's shocking heel turn on AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34, there's a dud that leaves fans firing up Twitter for a right good moan, or collectively wondering if someone slyly slipped some hallucinogens into catering backstage before those creative meetings.

Remember: everything WWE present is because somebody thought it was good, and they probably even figured it'd make the company some cash or pop a good TV rating. Sadly for those well-meaning souls, some of the stories they've come up with have been total trash.

Poor attempts at comedy and tired gimmicks WWE seriously need to move on from are just the tip of the iceberg...
