9. WWE Writers Don't Get Sick Days
WhatCulture's very own Vince Russo shed some light on this story! In what sounds like a breach of employment rights, Russo revealed that Vince McMahon had no tolerance for staff going sick. The creative team simply have to get on with it! Russo found this out when having to work on creative for a Rock / Ken Shamrock feud. The former WWF Creative writer revealed to WhatCulture that he was sweating and shaking with sickness. "Vince looked at me somewhat annoyed and said, Whats wrong with you? VinceIm Sick, I said. Vince looked me dead in the eye and delivered the line, There is no sick. I never forget that to this day." Paul Heyman has also noted Vince McMahon's hate for sickness. According to the former Smackdown head of creative, Vince used to curse wildly with even his own sneezes. Former creative team member John Piermarini also commented on Vince's unusual apathy for sneezers, telling Wade Keller of PW Torch that the boss would freak out. So maybe that's why Raw makes no sense on occasions... the writers are having to work sick!
