9. Green Mist

The green mist staggers belief - not only because someone thought it would look cool if an opponent spat what looked like anti-freeze at someone’s face, but because they decided that it should be used over and over again.

What exactly is the green mist? Nobody really knows. But apparently it's a miracle substance that will blind an opponent and ultimately debilitate them while at the same time remaining 100% safe to be held in the mouth for sustained periods of time. And assumedly it’s safe to swallow right? Because surely you’d have to account for a change of plan where you needed to swallow it?

Unless the inside of Tajiri's mouth is made of lead, it's safe to assume that he is simply spitting some coloured water at his opponent. Which poses the question – who is this for? Jaded wrestling fans know it's basically some form of juice and don't like having their intelligence insulted. But optimistic fans who have just tuned in will have their suspension of disbelief shattered immediately, thus kind of ruining the experience for them.

I guess that sets them up for the experience of watching WWE programming, though.
