10 Spine-Chilling WWE Calls You'll Never Forget

9. "YES! YES! YES!"

Hear "YES! repeated over and over again today, and you immediately think of Daniel Bryan, who turned one of the most ubiquitous words in the English language into a catchphrase five years ago after being repeatedly screwed out of his shot at the main event.

But, to fans of a certain age (by which we mean: old - like, over 35 years old), it will perhaps forever be associated with the 1992 Royal Rumble, a match won by the recently debuting Ric Flair when he eliminated Sid Vicious, thanks to a distraction from Hulk Hogan, at the death.

Why? Because this was what announcer Bobby Heenan, who had been predicting throughout the event that the Nature Boy would take home the spoils, started screaming at the top of his lungs when his man finally stood tall in the ring as the new WWF Champion.

Like all the great commentary calls, this one felt real and authentic, as though The Brain really did want nothing more than for Flair to walk out of New York with the title around his waist. You don't see this sort of passion at ringside these days - and the product is a lot poorer for it.
