10 Strongest Wrestlers In WWE Today

You don't need to tip a vehicle to make the list, but it certainly helps...

Though wrestling has largely moved away from the days of large, unathletic bruisers dominating the main event scene, the sport will always have a place for stunning feats of strength. WWE are all about the spectacle, and while the company is increasingly dominated by smaller, more agile competitors, their roster is still crammed with some of the strongest athletes in the world.

Wrestling requires exorbitant amounts of heavy lifting, and even the smallest competitors need to be powerful enough to throw their peers around if they're to look convincing between the ropes. The sport's athleticism continues to evolve, but outstanding body strength remains a basic requirement, regardless of the performer's wrestling style.

Watch any episode of Raw or SmackDown and you'll see at least a couple of examples of pure, raw-boned power, particularly from the company's bigger wrestlers. Strength training is a vital component of any competitor's workout routine, and it's safe to say there are some absolute brutes on this roster full of powerlifters, strongmen, and former amateur wrestlers.

Some of these performers aren't primarily known for their power, while others are defined by it. Either way, each has proven themselves among the strongest in the business.

10. Kane

There's a strong chance we may never see Kane showcase his strength in a WWE ring again. The 25-year veteran hasn't been seen on television since November, and if his ongoing mayoral campaign in Knox County, Tennessee is successful, his days as an active competitor are numbered, though his place in wrestling folklore is secure.

Despite this (and the fact that he's now 50 years old), if the WWE locker-room was to hold a series of strength tests tomorrow, Kane would likely finish highly. 'The Big Red Machine' is a giant himself, but has a long history of Chokeslamming opponents who are even bigger than he is, including the Big Show at his heaviest. His power is there for all to see whenever he steps between the ropes, and if he were younger, Kane would feature even further up the list.

Even Brock Lesnar, one of the strongest men to ever compete in the business, has conceded that he can't beat Kane in an arm wrestling contest. Add Kane's 525lb bench press into the equation, and you have one of the most powerful men in the business, even if he's old enough to be your dad.
