For a year when WWE faced a downturn in business, 2014 was certainly full of surprises. The year featured the return of many different legends, a fan favorite finally winning the WrestleMania main event, the death of a legend, a wrestler walking away from the business, and the end of the greatest streak in wrestling history. 2014 was a time of change in the wrestling business when younger wrestlers were given their chance to shine in the spotlight and when WWE was forced to face the pains of rebuilding a roster. While fans may not remember 2014 fondly, there was plenty of action to keep everyone busy. Whether you loved or hated 2014 in the wrestling world, Vince McMahon's promotion gave us plenty to talk about. As the only game in town (sorry TNA and ROH), WWE sets the standard for what professional wrestling is in North America. Even though business is down, they can still surprise us now and then. The surprise factor has gave us plenty to talk about, meaning fans are engaged with the WWE product even when it hasn't been that good at times.
