10 Things AEW Fans Want After Double Or Nothing

Double Or Nothing was a great first step for AEW, but there's still plenty of work to be done.

Well, Double Or Nothing was pretty darn good, wasn't it?

The debut show of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) took place on the 25 May in Las Vegas, Nevada and it delivered on a lot of the hype that surrounded it. The Casino Battle Royale was manic fun, Cody and Dustin put on a genuine match of the year contender, and Dean Ambrose - whoops, I mean Jon Moxley - shocked everybody with his surprise debut at the end of the night.

Over ten thousand fans in the MGM Grand and the tens of thousands more watching at home were left thrilled at Double Or Nothing, as it now looks like WWE may have its first genuine competition in nearly two decades. However, as we all know, nothing in this life is perfect.

Double Or Nothing may have hit a lot of high notes, but there were plenty of flats and minors in there too. Nobody expects a wrestling promotion's first show to go off without a hitch and even though Double Or Nothing came close, there are still plenty of things that fans of the promotion want to see changed or improved upon in the next few months.

With their next three events already announced and with weekly TV coming later in the year, AEW have a bright future ahead of them. One way to make that future even brighter is to follow these ten pieces of advice.

10. A Women's Championship

AEW

At their first big press conference earlier this year, Brandi Rhodes announced to the world that AEW would have a women's division.

That division was launched with two all-female matches at Double Or Nothing; one featuring top stars from Japan (more on that later) and the other featuring AEW signees Dr. Britt Baker (D.M.D), Nyla Rose, and Kylie Rae. The trio were joined by surprise entrant, Awesome Kong, who was introduced by Brandi herself.

It was a solid start to the women's division in AEW, establishing all three regulars and getting a great reaction for the return of Kong. However, if Brandi's promises about the division are to come true, then AEW still need to go a long way with its female stars.

The first thing that they can do is reveal what its women's division will be fighting over. At Double Or Nothing, the company introduced its men's World Championship, but announced nothing about a women's title.

Fans of women's wrestling need to see that AEW are serious about their pledges, but at the moment the women in the company are currently at a disadvantage, because they have no championship. AEW needs to introduce this title quickly or face calls of hypocrisy.
