If you listen to WWE, the road to WrestleMania 34 will be a lengthy one jam-packed full of twists, turns, and countless surprises. "Nothing is ever certain on the Road To WrestleMania," Michael Cole once harped. But that's not strictly true - at least not this year.

Looking forward to the big day on 8 April 2018 whilst analysing the current WWE landscape makes it clear certain things are inevitable before 'Mania 34. Put it this way: WWE have over nine months of TV to fill before hitting the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. To think things will stay as they are is ridiculous.

A lot will change in time for WrestleMania - it simply has to. Hall of Fame inductees being announced, NXT call ups, big returns, and title wins are imminent. Just don't expect the current active rosters on Raw and SmackDown to be the only ones fighting for a spot on the 'Mania 34 card next spring...

10. Asuka Lands On The Main Roster

Asuka NXT Women's Champion

When WWE aren't busy casting Lana as some sort of throwback to the 'Divas', they're booking a man to end the first ever female Money in the Bank match. This whole 'women's revolution' thing isn't exactly going off without a hitch, is it?

Through all this nonsense, WWE have an ace up their sleeve just waiting on the nod.

Should WWE call Asuka up from NXT before WrestleMania 34 though, they really can't have her doing silly stuff. No, the reigning NXT Women's Champion must be portrayed as a serious pro wrestler who does her talking when the bell rings. Matches against Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks could be classics.

It's a surefire bet that Asuka will be promoted to the main roster at some point. Having held the NXT Women's Title for well over a year now, there's really nothing else left for the Japanese star to achieve in WWE's developmental system. Raw or SmackDown await.
