10 Things That Must Happen At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12

9. More Gold For The Bucks

Young Bucks

Roppongi 3K have dominated the junior tag division since returning at King of Pro Wrestling back in October. SHO and YO won the Junior Heavyweight Tag Championship in their first match, before picking up the Super Jr. Tag Tournament a month later. Rocky Romero’s charges have been practically unbeatable over the last four months.

And that is exactly why The Young Bucks must defeat them in the Tokyo Dome. Fallibility is vital in professional wrestling, especially for pseudo babyface tag teams. SHO and YO have to lose at some point, and falling short against the most decorated junior tag team in NJPW history is the way to go.

The Bucks are undoubtedly the top tandem in all of wrestling right now, and the Jackson brothers are hugely important to New Japan. With the company planning further incursions into the American market in 2018, Nick and Jack must start the year off with a bang.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read.
