WrestleMania 34 is now behind us, and thus, the long, winding road to next year's event begins.
'The Showcase Of The Immortals' hits East Rutherford, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on April 7th, 2019. Much will happen between now and then, but given the strong start WWE have made to 2018 (and the general positivity surrounding 'Mania 34), there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the next 12 months.
Not only is Ronda Rousey a shining star in an era largely devoid of them, but a natural between the ropes. Shinsuke Nakamura's heel turn is a breath of fresh air. Though Asuka's streak is over, her match with Charlotte was excellent, and the Revolution looks as strong as ever. AJ Styles remains one of the best in the world, the IC Title scene is in rude health, and Daniel bloody Bryan is back. The list goes on.
Still, WWE's propensity to royally screw things up remains one of their defining characteristics, and there is plenty to do ahead of WrestleMania 35. Let's hope they're able to tick them off, because if they are, they'll be all set for another awesome event...
A caffeine-dependent life-form from the frozen wastes of north east Scotland. He once tried to start a revolution but didn't print enough pamphlets, so hardly anyone turned up. Give him a follow @andyhmurray. You'll have a great time. Maybe.
