10 Things That Would’ve Happened Had Sting Joined WWE In 2001

Sting could have changed the face of the business forever if he "jumped ship".

One of pro wrestling's biggest "What if..." scenarios looks at just what would have happened if Sting came to the WWF in 2001 when WCW went out of business. That's a tree with branches that split off into several different directions. Wrestling could have been changed forever if it happened, whether you're a fan of his or not. Everything from the "Invasion" storyline to The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak to TNA to the future of WCW as a WWF-run entity, and just about all in between, would have been affected in one way or another by Sting making the move 13 years ago. It's truly a shame that we never got to see any of this take place. Even if you're a huge TNA fan and supporter, you have to understand and believe that Sting belonged in the WWF, and deserved a spot there. This article will look at ten of the biggest things we could/would/should have seen if Sting did come to the WWF in 2001. Some of these will be big-time matches he could have had, while some will be changes to storylines that would have occurred if he was involved, and what his career arc would have looked like. It's an interesting look back at wrestling history that could have been.
